A woman with tattoos on her arms and shoulders, wearing a tank top and red patterned pants, is pouring a drink from a stainless steel thermos onto cups on a table. She is outdoors under a large tree with green foliage, with a patterned tablecloth, cups, and plants on the table.

Hello, I’m Astrid Ivy…

Welcome to my space, a space of my blossoming. A space where I offer my unique skills and guidance to you, my community.

Firstly though a bit about me and my experiences. My journey is a complex and bumpy road with lots of twists and turns which have ultimately led me to be the most whole and happy version of myself. I have navigated my way through early childhood CPTSD, chronic illness, neurodivergence and menopause. Along the way my love of plants has been there for me as long as I can remember, they are my allies, my most intimate friends. The trees, hedgerows, rivers and remedies are where I turn in times of need and they have saved me, helped me grow and not only survive but now thrive.

My career always found its way back to being outdoors, trying to work in mainstream education always made me more sick and forced me back outside where I had to heal time and time again.

I began my career after completing my degree in Conservation ecology but being a single parent to two young children the jobs never suited. I qualified as a science teacher and worked in high schools until that pace broke me. In my rebuilding of myself I became a mentor, studied Theology, gained a Diploma in Nutritional therapy and part of a degree in Herbal medicine. I built a local wildlife community group, a Hedgehog rehabilitation programme and then The ReWilding Path community group on Facebook. Each step was helping to build me back together into the person I was meant to be.

I have over 25 years experience working with plants, fungi and fine tuning my spiritual practices and 20 years experience working in community groups, running workshops and more recently 1:1.

I am fully insured with an enhanced DBS, trauma and health informed, trained in safeguarding, first aid and mental health awareness coaching alongside my professional qualifications.

My Approach

I offer a blend of Core shamanic practices, journeying supported with herbs, hedgecraft and intuitive hedgerow herbalism based on traditional local folk remedies. These offerings can be used for guidance, to facilitate healing, improve wellbeing and further your own spiritual work. We can work together in the comfort of either of our homes or in beautiful outdoor locations.

I am also available for workshops for woman’s circles, day retreats, festivals and in sustainable foraging, herbalism, forest bathing and outdoor education.

my passions

I am passionate about using plants and practices our ancestors used here in the UK. Being mindful of cultural appropriation I have spent many years learning about our own unique history and crafts. I am conscious of the language, plants and ways in which I describe my unique way of working. I am not a healer but a guide to help facilitate you on your own path to healing yourself

my obsessions

Woman coming together in circles, brewing potions and remedies, meeting new plant friends, hanging around hedgerows stalking insects, smelling blossoms, reading about religion and traditional East Anglian witchcraft, looking after my local patch, journeying to other realms with my spirit guides and dreaming. Lets journey together.
